Pepelu: “The penalty decision was unbelievable. None of us on the pitch could believe it”

Valencia CF midfielder, Pepelu, gave his thoughts on the loss to Deportivo Alavés on Matchday 36 of LALIGA EA SPORTS 24-25.

Penalty

“It was unbelievable. None of us on the pitch could believe it, especially after the referee was sent to review the incident and still stuck with his decision. Everyone saw it. There's nothing we can do now but move on. Even the Alavés players told us they thought it would be overturned because it wasn’t a penalty. We’re shocked. It’s a decision that hurts us — we simply can’t believe it.”

“It had been a fairly even game. They had a few chances, but in the second half, not many. To lose like that, from a penalty in the final minutes, leaves a bitter taste.”
